The YAI/ National Institute for People with Disabilities Network provides opportunity to people with developmental and learning disabilities, within the New York Metropolitan Area. On Saturday, June 5th, thousands of families, celebrities, and members of the community came together to raise awareness for the rights and aspirations of people with disabilities. 10,000 walkers and 2,000 runners filled Central Park for the fundraising event, which offered a 3K walk, 5K run, a play area, and the Children’s Jr. All-American Races. The Execu|Search Group assembled a team of 10 to participate in the organization’s 5K Run. The team felt it was truly an incredible experience to join thousands of other participants at the park and support the developmentally disabled community.
